Abstract

This article explores the role of proverbs and sayings in Uzbek and English languages. It examines the similarities and differences between the two languages in terms of their use of proverbs and sayings, as well as the cultural significance of these linguistic expressions. The article discusses the origins of proverbs and sayings, their functions, and the ways in which they reflect the values and beliefs of a society. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of preserving and passing on these linguistic expressions to future generations.
