Ushbu maqolada differensial tenglamalarning matematik tahlilning asosiy sohasi sifatida rivojlanish tarixi yoritilgan. Unda XVII asrda Isaak Nyuton va Gotfrid Leybnitsning ishlanmalari asosida paydo boʻlgan differensial tenglamalar qanday qilib XVIII va XIX asrlarda Leonard Eyler, Karl Gustav Yakobi, va Fransua Jozef Furye kabi matematiklarning tadqiqotlari bilan yanada rivojlanganligi haqida soʻz boradi. Matematik-fizika sohasidagi Maksvell, Navier-Stokes, va Shryodinger tenglamalari bilan bogʻliq qoʻllanmalarga alohida eʼtibor qaratilgan. XX asrda differensial tenglamalarning chiziqli boʻlmagan shakllari va kompyuter yordamida yechim usullarining rivojlanishi ularning fizik, biologik va iqtisodiy jarayonlarda qoʻllanilishini kengaytirdi. Maqola differensial tenglamalarning fan va texnologiyadagi hozirgi va kelajakdagi oʻrnini taʼkidlab, bu sohaning ahamiyatini ochib beradi.
